LADYSMITH, Wis. (June 4, 2018) – Xcel Energy will be making concrete repairs to the spillway at the Big Falls Dam and in order to accommodate that work, the west-side boat landing on the Big Falls Flowage will be closed for the rest of year.
The boat landing is located immediately upstream of the dam and will close on June 15, 2018 and will remain closed through November. However, boaters will have access by using the primary boat landing located upstream on the east side of the dam.
The closure is necessary to accommodate equipment and materials needed for the repair work.
